First time Client Instructions for Sugaring
For best results, please refrain from shaving at least 2 weeks ahead of your appointment. Trimming is not necessary, the longer the better actually!
Should I do anything different before my sugaring treatment?
For your comfort, we recommend that you do not sunbathe or use a tanning bed for 48 hours prior to or after any sugaring treatment. Avoid putting any moisturizers on the skin 24 hours before the treatment. Also, some women find that their skin is extra sensitive when they are pre-menstrual.
Hair needs to be at least 1/4 inch long or “about the length of a grain of rice”. This usually takes about a week or ten days without shaving or trimming.
Exfoliate the area before getting sugared.
Irritation and micro-tearing may occur if you have extra sensitive skin and is not uncommon during sugaring.
You may take a couple Advil or Tylenol, this will help to lessen any pain or sensitivity during or after your appointment.
If you are on your cycle, we can still complete your service as long as you wear a tampon or menstrual cup to your appointment. If you prefer to reschedule, please be sure to do so with 24 hours notice subject to a cancellation fee.
Most importantly, don’t be nervous! We are professionals that do this all the time, will take great care of you and explain everything else when you come in for your appointment!
